Who We Are?

Our History
Hamdam Foundation was established in 2005 by a group of passionate development professionals and social workers committed to improving the lives of marginalized communities across Sindh. What began as a small grassroots initiative has grown into a reputable organization recognized for its hands-on work in rural and vulnerable areas.
Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships with communities, partners, and local authorities — allowing us to respond effectively to both immediate needs and long-term development challenges.
The Foundation
Legally registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860, Hamdam Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization operating independently and transparently. Our foundation is grounded in a deep understanding of local contexts and cultural sensitivities, which guides our approach to community engagement and service delivery.
We work with integrity and accountability, driven by a belief that real change comes from within the communities we serve.

What We Do
Hamdam Foundation works across multiple sectors including climate action, mangrove reforestation, sustainable agriculture, youth employment, women’s empowerment, health, nutrition, and WASH. We’ve planted over 150,000 mangroves, trained 900+ women in vocational skills, installed 300 hand pumps in water-scarce areas, and supported more than 10,000 individuals during emergencies.
Through partnerships with organizations like UNDP, USAID, UNICEF, WaterAid, and ActionAid, we continue to expand our reach and deepen our impact across Sindh.
Our Core Values
Our Vision
A tolerant and self-reliant society founded on the principles of equity and equality.
Our Mission
To fulfill basic human needs and improve the living standards and rights of marginalized communities by mobilizing and strengthening local, community-based groups. Through capacity building and the effective use of local resources, we strive for sustainable social and economic development.
“Real change begins when we listen, learn, and lead together.”
